Honorable Jon Wisser,
Retired District Judge
Judge
Wisser has served in the judiciary of Travis County since
he was elected Justice of the Peace for Precinct 4 in 1974.
He went on to serve as Judge of the Travis County Court at
Law and then served as Judge of the 299th District Court until
his retirement December 31, 2006. He continues to serve
as a visiting Judge and remains active in community service.

Scott, Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace and has served as Judge
of Justice Court, Precinct one of Travis County, Texas since
his election in 1974.

Judge Susan Steeg
Judge
Steeg serves as Justice Court Judge of Precinct three, Travis
County, Texas. She retired from state government as
the General Counsel of the Texas Department of Health in 2004.
For 20 years, she was involved in the development of public
health policy and the regulation of health care facilities,
health professionals, and other consumer and environmental
health matters. She has served as the Chair of the Texas
AIDS Network (1991), Financial Officer and Treasurer of Executive
Women in Texas Government (2002-2003), Secretary of the Public
Health Law Association (2003), and Interim Executive Director
of the Public Health Law Association (2004).

Melissa Goodwin
Judge
Goodwin is Judge of the 427th District Court of Travis County.
She is a graduate of the University of Texas and St. Mary’s
School of Law. In 2002, Judge Goodwin was elected to the office
of Justice of the Peace, for Precinct 3 of Travis County.
She served as an attorney for the State’s highest court
in criminal cases, the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, for
more than 8 years. Judge Goodwin also worked in the General
Counsel’s Office for the State Bar of Texas in the field
of attorney discipline.
